Pictures taken during the Dec festive hols. We stayed at a hotel for New year's eve. If you see food in our pictures hee hee..we had a few makan sessions. Thanks giving dinner on 30 Dec, Xmas cum grandma's birthday party on 24 Dec and 22 Dec we had a xmas gathering @ Hacienda condo.

So far, we have watched two movies, High School Musical 3 & BeverlyHills Chihuahua!!

Rachel went to Beijing with the school for an educational chinese culture exchange program from 12 - 19 Nov. This girl enjoyed the cool winter...they toured the Beijing Olympic Village,Forbidden City, Great Wall Of China,tasted the Original Beijing Roasted Duck too. It was a good test for her to be independant. Mummy is proud of ya for being a responsible girl, packing your own luggage and being prudent!

Last week, we went to Vivo City's Marche for lunch. The girls have been wanting to order their own dishes with the card system. Before that, we went to see the doctor for Raelyn's nose check up. She has to get it checked cos lately it has been bleeding alot. Dr Chee did the procedure for her. Rae was brave, she did not cry just kept saying was very painful. Poor dearie...but well done for your bravery. Thank you for being good throughout the check up.

Our short break to Port Dickson was worth the wait....my girlfriend Ann, the little R's & I had a quiet & fun time together. It takes 5 hours to Malacca by coach, followed by a taxi to Port Dickson which takes about 1.5 hours.

We stayed in the water chalet at Avillion Resort, was just infront of the beach, with sunset view...awesome!!! The breakfast menu was not too bad...wide spread of fresh salad,fruits,cereals. Cuppa Coffee was tasty & hot too!! The pet farm was a tiny one, but many pets were kept in it. Rabbits,squirrels,peacocks seen running around...sharing food...during meal time was eye-catching!

School Holidays are back

Yes, is the time of the year....term two hols are here. I haven't been writing for more than two months. Sorry friends, for not updating. Well oh well, is my 3rd month in my current line of work. So far so good..enjoying most of it. Especially the time offs haha. The kids exams were over finally, school holiday just started this week. Rachel just recovered from high fever, tonsils inflammation & stomach flu..poor girl. However despite the bulk of sickness she had, she scored B's for her papers. Proud of her effort put in. Thanks Rachel, you make mummy proud! :) Raelyn tried her best and did averagely well for her standard. Keep it up Rae!

In the month of April, me and some kakis went to Batam to eat,shop and relax..was a day trip only, but was fantastic! the hair cream steam bath was super duper rejuvenating for only S$10, with a shoulder, head and hand massage..wow!

I am working on a new "dance, stretch & praise" program for work...so far two songs have been chosen and the steps created. We can't wait to launch it in July..will try to get pictures to show you all ok?

Yup thats all for now. We got plans to Port Dickson in June! Looking forward for sure..Yay!!

Is Really Time To Update

Dear everyone, pardon me for not updating recently. I did not really have the mood, partly busy adjusting to my new career,managing the household & the kids.So far I am pretty adjusted to the office culture and the areas of responsibilites. All is well, except my boss was away on a business trip during my first month of employment and he was gone for one month, however the management assigned a very nice senior staff to coach and guide me along my new role as a secretary. I was taught how to do all the areas of responsibilities step by step. Sister Susan, was a great mentor...patient & full of encouragement, whenever I needed support she is there to give me the positive attitude & counsel. Thanks very much sister Susan for the love & care you shown me the last two months. Truly, my heartfelt gratitude speaks a thousand words.....appreciate all your effort put in coaching me.

While I was getting used to the fulltime work force after so many years OF the free lance lifestlye...my mind was also thinking of my kids if they can actually do without "M"--Mel the Mama & Maria. Well oh well...all the past year of training and counsel indeed paid off, the little R's apparently could stand on their feet and be independent, disciplined to help wash the dishes,do their homework while their Mama's @ work. They could even take care of Angel, our beloved pet dog. I am so proud of you girls...Keep up the good work!! Well done!

The school hols finally ended 2 weeks ago, back to the early morning routine...sob sob! Kids had watched 4 movies during the hols, went to the Wild wild wet at Pasir Ris,umpteen times of cycling and enjoying their new skates every week. One great thing, the kids were not sick at all! They enjoyed eating all the heaty stuff, spicy laksa and nasi lemak too..haha! Well done dearest ones!

Finally the day has come....all three babes are back for holiday. I am so happy to see them tonight. Baobei Nyx has fever and some kinda of infection all of a sudden, sobs sob!! But even when she isn't well she is still active n playing all the time,hee!! She has grown so much...she can walk,talk,respond and hug me too. All the sweet expressions....Aww! Finals were over...last week, boy am i so glad it is. Waiting for the school hols next week to begin, we started to pack and move in some stuff to the new place in punggol. We are staying there for the hols, yup...setting up the xmas tree and decor soon..hee hee! I was chatting on MSN with Dawn tonight...then the topic of Dawn training Nyx to call me by what name? We happily discussed and shared a few, Dawn & I are like sisters...we have a unique friendship and the bond is different, somehow i feel like i know her before or perhaps even my long lost sister!!?? Well she suggested Ah yee?...Or Mama Mel?..LOL. cos that is what she calls me and I call her Mama Dawn. So Nyx will call me Grandma Mel? Wahaha! But Ah Yee is for Stef, Dawn went on and on..saying Steff will be the Da Yi Ma!! LOL...nearly dropped of my chair for a second. So Finally we made a conclusion..from today, Dearie Nyxie will call Mama Mel. Dawn & I wil call each other MommIES instead of Mamas!! It was a fun and memorable time with all the friends of my children and some of my fellow friends. We organized a one night camp & BBQ at Pasir Ris Park for the birthday celebration last Saturday, 13th October. It was also a celebration for my pals, Jessica and Lily plus Little Rachel, Raelyn & Jeremiah!! Rachel dearie invited Natasha and Pearlina from school, Raelyn baobei invited Jaylene her best friend from school. The rest were the kids from sunday school, Claudia,Jeremiah and Natasha(my goddaughter i recently recruited)hee! Tell you more about her soon. There was so much food, we had BBQ Wings, sweet potatoes, corn, salad,shepherd's pie,curry,bee hoon,Home made Ngoh Hiang..Yummy!!! Not forgetting the cake....from four leaves..thanks to all my friends for contributing so much delicious food for the BBQ nite. Sam and Sally brought so much things to share with us, the ice box,hammocks,mats..Sally made the Shepherd pie so tasty, full of meat and onions..OOOoooo! Also thanking Wendy for her support in setting the tents up & partly organizing this party together with me.

Disappointing News!

I just heard tonight that Dawn, Nyx and little baby russell will not be coming back to SG till another year later. This is so sad....sad........sad! I was hoping and waiting for them to come home next Feb for good, we can't wait to be neighbours finally after i shifted into my new place. Now is a hopeless situation..:-( Mama dawn...counting down to your return in 2009!!! Miss ya and Darlin Nyxie loads!

Luncheon With Sharon and Her kids

Finally the day had come, when i could meet up with Sharon and her two lovely chidlren, Faith and Daniel. Sharon is my Primary school mate since Primary one we had been in the same class till Primary 6. The day started with a rainy morning..I drove to her current apartment at Redhill tp fetch them,blur blur me for a new driver on the road lost our way to Vivo City. Haha! We so hungry we decided to just take the route to the city and headed to Takashimaya for a lovely Dim Sum luncheon at Crystal Jade. Yummy!

Faith is 6 and Daniel is 4, they both look really adorable and good-looking! Well Warren, Sharon's husband is a Australian/malay. That spells it! WOnderful Creation indeed. The amazing thing is her kids are so well behaved while eating and playing. They care for each other alot and they are extremly poliet. Well done, Sharon for being such a great Mum, I am so proud of you.:-) The outing was short and sweet as i had to pick Raelyn up after school. But I am sure we will meet again....this time with my kids along. Cheerios! Hugs and Muacks to you and the kids.

Another year of celebration for my kids...they were invited to a birthday party this year at Safra Toa Payoh that very day. I got gifts for both my darlings, Rachel has The High School Muscial 2 and Marley & I Story Books, think i didn't mention before,Rachel is a bookworm, loves reading so much till she can complete a 100 page book in a day and a half. Raelyn loves to dress up, got her a pretty pink Dora Tshirt and polka dots tights, my "sweetie pie" Rae never fails to melts my heart, when i am angry or sad. She just knows how....Hee hee! Mummy loves you both very very much...whatever happens in life, remember I will be always there to support you, hold you, standby you! Thank you for being such well behaved and independent children.

I am so proud to have finally completed the process of decorating and being involved in all the renovation work (from buying lights,getting the 3 unit Air conditioner, choosing built in oven, cooker hob and stove,accessories,all the sinks that needed to be changed and added,materials used for wardrobes and kitchen,paint of walls and working with my designer,David from Crescendo Interior on the design artwork.

This special day has grew a special attachment in my heart...every year when it comes to Mother's day I feel so grateful to the Lord for giving me my children at a young age of 20. I am ever so proud to hold a title of a Mother. Rachel and Raelyn have constantly brought joy into my life. They have given me the strength to move on and on in the many storms all these 10 years of being a Mom to them.

Fresh New Look For A Change

It was a difficult decision to make but I finally decided to just go for it. I had been having long hair for more than 4 years. The reason for not having a short style cos is hard to maintain, the trimming is more frequent,my natural waves is a killer alright!!Everyone thinks I permed my hair if I didnt do anything to it-the modern way of straigthening the stubborn curls.

One fine afternoon, after contemplating for 4 months...I made up my mind:"just go for a change" once more...keeping a short cut. So then I told my regular hair stylist whom I have been going to for a year, I want a bob..not too dull, more like a concave bob, the latest trend. He cut it all ...6 inches off my mane..haha! Giving me a new style with more trendy layers and a nice shape to match my rounded face and high cheekbones...hee hee. I totally love it!!

Raelyn was pretty cool on the day of her injection after 6 years. She had it done in school that's why, no fuss when mummy's not around. It was just a little tiny dot on her left arm and she claimed "it didn't hurt at all" and "mummy, I didn't cry" So Proud of of you dear Rae.

St Marg's Pri School Sports Day

1st of March...on a rainy early morning, the children still had to race for the sports day event. Rachel who is in Tolley House(Red) took part in the 4 x 100m relay. So proud of her, though she didnt come in first, she came in 2nd!

The Primary 1's are suppose to do a 50M relay, as it was pouring quite heavily the school decided to cancel the race. Little Rae and her classmates were waiting eagerly to participate but were dissapointed it was canceled.

I had a hair cut on 28 Feb, yup and is 3 inches off this round...always wanted to cut but didn't have the guts to...after keeping long hair for more than 3 years and maintaining it, is not only tedious but sure is vainity of course..right ladies? Haha but..so I took the courage to say to my hairstylist "Yes, cut it!"

Our Trip to KL was pretty excitin. We did some shopping, so much to eat and sat the rides in the indoor themepark. Of all the rides, roller coaster Odessey was the best-Xtremely fun!
